Dr Zoë Ellen Winters is a clinical academic breast surgeon who works at the University of Bristol and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. This was preceded by a stint in laboratory science at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, after which she achieved a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Oxford in 1999. Dr Winters is a dedicated breast cancer surgeon who also runs a research programme evaluating women’s quality of life after breast reconstruction. Zoë is the founding trustee of Abreast, breast cancer research from science to clinic. Abreast is a breast cancer research charity that prioritises funding research that will make a difference to each individual woman with breast cancer through that woman’s direct involvement and participation in the research study over a five-year period.
